Round the Hill E-Bike Tour

Couple in front of Loch Eck at the Coylet

Popular Victorian Tour Route along Loch Eck and over the hill to Ardentinny

Inspired by the Victorian char-a-banc tour of the same name, this e-bike tour takes you along the shore of Loch Eck, and then up and over the hill to Ardentinny.

The Whistlefield mountain pass is a category 3 climb and so only the strong make this trip via bicycle. Our e-bikes make the mountain pass much easier, but a bit of skill is needed for descending the hairpin turns on the other side.

This tour focuses on local history with an option stop and tour of Historic Kilmun and the Argyll Mausoleum, the burial groud of Clan Campbell chiefs. The e-bikes make cycling easy, and give us access to places that no car or coach can go.

Who is this tour for? This tour is for couples, friend groups, or families (kids must be 14+ to legally ride an e-bike) who would like the challenge of a category 3 climb but with the help of an e-bike. This is also a great tour for experienced cyclists who have never tried an e-bike and would like to give it a go, or a group of people with varying cycling skill/fitness levels. The e-bikes ensure we can all stay together in a group.

The tour price includes:

  • Use of a top-of-the-line e-bike
  • Helmet
  • British Cycling certified ride leader
  • Tour guide

The price does not include:

  • Cost of food or drink at any stops
