The Rosneath Explorer E-Bike Tour
A Day Out Exploring the Rosneath Peninsula on Bikes
What’s more fun that riding bikes and catching ferries? Our Rosneath Explorer e-bike tour is a really fun day exploring the peninsula right next door to the Cowal Peninsula. This tour starts and ends in Dunoon, and includes four ferry sailings across the Clyde.
The circular ride around Rosneath is 20 miles long and includes stunning views across Loch Long to Blairmore and Ardentinny, and elevated views above Gareloch over to the mountains near Loch Lomond. Quiet roads await, and the e-bikes make cycling and climbing the hills easy.
Watch out for submarines! We’ll be riding alongside the Gareloch, home to submarine base Faslane so it’s common to see these vessels pass up and down the Clyde. We stop for a pub lunch in Kilcreggan before catching the 2 ferries back to Dunoon.
Who is this tour for? This tour is for couples, friend groups, or families (kids must be 14+ to legally ride an e-bike) who want a change of scene from Dunoon and want to explore a bit further. Maybe you live in Dunoon, or are familiar with Dunoon, and would like to explore a new area near by. I’ve written a whole blog post about this route.
