Bealach Maim & Loch Fyne Adventure Bike Tour
Take on Cowal's Toughest Road Climbs by Bicycle
The word bealach means “mountain pass” in Gaelic so whether it’s the famous Bealach na Bà or our local Bealach Maim, you know this is a road that goes UP.
The category 2 Bealach Maim ascends 310m over 3.7km with an average gradient of 8.5% with kicks of up to 20%. As daunting as that sounds, we will get everyone up it at their own pace.
And before we climb the Bealach Maim, we take on the cateogry 3 Craigendive climb – 147m of climbing over 2km with an average grade of 8% and steep bits hitting 20%.
This bike tour is part of our Adventure Tour series for avid cyclists bringing their own bicycle. A road or gravel bike is appropriate for this ride. We will accept e-bikes with prior arrangement.
