In Scotland, the weather is never a guarantee. We ask that you dress appropriately in layers and bring a light waterproof jacket in case of rain. If the weather forecast is looking very poor or dangerous, we will try to reschedule your tour for another day. If we’re unable to schedule a tour, we will provide a gift certificate for the full value of your tour. Refunds may be made on a case-by-case basis. Lochs, Bens & Glens Ltd. will make the final decision on tour cancellation due to weather.

Yes, you can bring your own bike for your tour, and use it provided it is in good working order. We offer £30 off our tour prices if you bring your own bike.

We are located in the Sandbank Business Park in Sandbank, Dunoon. When you enter the Business Park, continue to drive straight until the road turns to the right. Go straight at this junction, past the Fairmile Building. We are located on the left. This is where all of our e-bike tours start and end. This is not a shop open to the public. We open for booked tours only at this time.

We’ve started our business with e-bikes because they level the field in terms of fitness and ability for our guests. Dunoon is in the West Highlands of Scotland so there are a lot of hills around here! E-bikes allow everyone to keep up with each other so anyone who can ride a bike can join our tour with confidence. If you are travelling to Dunoon from overseas, you may be worried about how to bring your bike with you or how to get a bike when in Scotland. You have two options:

Fly with your bike
Lance and I have travelled the world with our bicycles so we’re well versed in how to travel by plane, train, and bus with a bike. We’re happy to help advise to make sure you feel comfortable travelling internationally with your bike.

Rent a bike when you arrive in Scotland
We have partners in Glasgow who are happy to work with our guests on renting a bike. It’s then very easy to get to Dunoon via train and ferry from Glasgow, and bikes travel on the train and ferry for no extra cost on a foot passenger ticket.

We will meet at the Victorian Pier in Dunoon, very close to the CalMac ferry terminal. If booking a private tour for just your party, we can meet at your accommodation or another convenient location. Just email info@lochsbensglens.co.uk with any questions and we’ll be happy to make arrangements.
